Peppa Pig and George cookies

Here is the photo which I used for my paper cookie cutter.

I print a copy and cut out near the lines. I put this on the dought and cut with a knife. I put down only the Pepa Pig photo, I did the same with George.

First I outlined and flooded the head and ears with light pink. After all heads was finish, I stated with outlining the dress with a darker red and then flooded with a lighter one. I left aproximatelly to dry for an hour and then drew the head details, the hands, the legs and the tail.

I made the same with George.

WHALE COOKIES/combined cutters

 I don't have a whale cookie cutter, so I start thinking of a combination with more cutters. Down is how I made my whales. Round cutter (5cm), small clover cutter(2,5cm) and Xcutter (2,5cm) 

First I outlined and flooded the white parts. Then I flooded the whale body with light blue. After aproximatelly one hour, I drew the details with white and with a darker blue icing. It was just an attempt, next time I have to made better icing. I was not happy with the icing consistency.

You can see one stomach is outlined white, one is outlined blue. I think the whale with water is so much white id also the stomach is white. 

STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE COOKIES

This poster of strawberry shortcake give me the inspiration! 

I combinated two different cookie cutters. For the flum I cut the star once, for the bulberry twice.

 I made the royal icing with meringue powder:

440 gr (4 cups) powdered sugar

30gr (3 tablespoons) meringue powder

120 - 180 ml (1/2 cup - 3/4 cup) warm water

The colors I used:

 Strawberry Shortcake - 114 deep pink

Blueberry Muffin - 134 navy blue

Plum Pudding - 122 violet

First I outlined the cookies with white and let dry for an hour.

Then I flooded the green parts. I left the fruits inside for the end. After the flooding of every cookie, I made imediatelly the white dots. For the blueberry I made a star using a toothspick. Let them dry overnight.

JEDRILICE / SAIL BOATS

Sastojci:
30 dag brašna
20 dag šećera
4 žumanjka
30 dag maslaca

2 žličice limunova soka + korica

20 dag mljevenih lješnjaka

Priprema:
Maslac izmrviti vilicom u brašnu, dodati žumanjke i šećer, limunov sok i lješnjake i umijesiti glatko tijesto. Po potrebi dodati malo ruma.

Staviti u frižider najmanje pola sata, a zatim tijesto razvaljati na 3 mm debljine i izrezati jedrilice.

Kolačiće staviti na papir za pečenje i peći oko 8-10 minuta na 200°C

Da keksi budu ukusniji, lješnjake bi trebalo prethodno ugrijati u pečnici pa ih među dlanovima istrljati da se ogule. Jako su prhi i vrlo ukusni.

Kako površina keksa nije sva pokrivena, za glazuru će biti dovoljna 2 bijelanjka, 400gr šećera u prahu i 2 žlice limunovog soka.

Od dobivene smijese izdvojite jednu trećinu koju obojite u plavo i dvije pune žlice koje obojite u crno. Redoslijed kojim sam ja radila je: najprije sam nacrtala plavi brod sa bijelim točkama, zatim crni jarbol i na kraju malo bijelo jedro i veliko bijelo jedro. Kako ne treba čekati da bude sve skroz suho dekoracija ide brzo.

Cherry cookies

For my cherries, I made my clasic sugar cookies recipe with butter:

750 gr of flour

250 gr of butter

250 gr of powdered sugar

4 egg

1 tsp of vanilla ore one vanilla

1 tsp baking powder

a pinch of salt

Stir the butter with the sugar vigorously until the substance is foamy. Add the egg and keep mixing while adding the rest of ingredients until the dough is ready. It should be tender, so put into the fridge for two hours.

Make your biscuits.

Bake them for 10-15 minutes at the temperature of 180°C in the pre-heated baking oven.

The colors I use was all from Americolor:

101 super black 

120 super red

112 mint green (mixed with a little black)

211 leaf green

STRAWBERRIES/JAGODE

A friend had a birthday party with strawberry theme. I made this strawberries flower.

On the strawberries I first outline and immediatly flood the green. I leave them an hour to dry. In this hour I started with the flowers. First I outlined the flower. When I finished I started to flood the first one - the outline was dry. Then I take the strawberies where I outline and flood imediatlly the fruit with rose color. I flooded one at time because I made the yellow points and pulled them down with a toothpick. I took the flower again where I made the yellow centre. I left them to dry for aproximatelly one hour. Then I take the strawberries where I drew the green small star. At the end I made the final decorations on the flower. First I made the white lines then I made the small yellow points in the centre. 

For the flowers lines I start from the outlines of the petal to the centre, I want to have this "tear line", thicker then thinner.

SUMMER COOKIE (JELLYFISH,FISH AND WINKLE)

A summer raining day.... ideal for baking cookies. I want to makes something about the sea, abaut the summer...

I made a cookie dough with lard and granulated sugar. I used the muffin cutter, ice cream cup and ice cream cutter. Here is how I cut the cookies

I wanted to make a special effect with colors. For the piping icing I made a darker one. I used americolor 160 electric blue, 161 electric yellow and 162 electric green. I took a picture because I really like this combination

I used a tip 3 to outline the cookies. When I finished, I left some icing for the dots, in the other I added more white icing and some water, in this way I prepared the flooding one. To be faster, I filled with a spoon and a toothpick. After one hour, I draw the smiling faces and the dots.

I like the jellyfish! Somewhere I made two colors dots for more effect.
